EDMONTON, AB — April 5, 2026 — Napkin Deals founder and CEO Matthew Liberto today published an expanded edition of How I Built a Global AI Organization, growing the manuscript from 24 to 28 chapters — with more to come. The full text is available immediately at napkindeals.com.

The book documents the ongoing build of Napkin Deals — an M&A marketplace powered by a 69-bot AI organization — from a napkin sketch to a live platform with 3,600+ deals and $6.4 billion in pipeline value. Every chapter is written during the events it describes, preserving the uncertainty, improvisation, and decision-making cadence of a company being built in real time.

What’s New in Chapters 25–28

The original 24-chapter edition, published April 3, covered founding through the public front door. This expanded edition adds four new chapters documenting April 5 — a single day in which the company built the two-database sync architecture, published five strategic content articles, hardened its Cloudflare infrastructure, and rebuilt the press newsroom.

The Two Databases details how the customer-facing Supabase and the AI-organization Supabase were connected through a 15-minute sync layer, resolving the profile namespace collision that had been a known architectural liability. The Content Sprint documents how five articles were written in one session, each targeting a specific deal type the platform needed authority on — and how the same content simultaneously trained the AI organization’s judgment. The Infrastructure Beneath records the Cloudflare migration that placed all subdomains behind edge caching and DDoS protection, along with the unified email routing system powering 69 bot personas through 12 Google Workspace accounts. The Newsroom chronicles the rebuild of the press page, the 28-chapter announcement, and what it means that this book documents its own publication inside its own pages — a recursive loop the author noticed mid-sentence and kept going anyway.

Written Before the Ending

“Written in real time, mid-build, to no one in particular and everyone at once.”

— Matthew Liberto, Founder & CEO, Napkin Deals

The manuscript makes no claims of retrospective wisdom. Chapters record decisions as they were made, with the information available at the time. Some describe systems that were rebuilt. Others document strategies that worked on the first attempt. Both receive equal treatment.

Open Access
