From Concept to Live in 48 Hours — The Napkin Deals Website Sprint

26 commits across a single weekend. No design team, no agency, no templates. A fully operational deal platform website built from scratch with AI-generated branding and a live deal pipeline.

EDMONTON, AB & MIAMI, FL — March 18, 2026 — Napkin Deals today launched its public-facing website following a 48-hour development sprint that produced a fully operational deal platform from an empty repository. The site went live with 26 commits across two consecutive days, covering front-end design, legal infrastructure, deal pipeline integration, and mobile optimization.

No external design agency, freelance designer, or pre-built template was involved in the build. The entire visual identity — including branding, iconography, and layout — was generated through AI-assisted design tooling and implemented directly in code. Typography selections of Montserrat for headings and Caveat for handwritten accents were made during the sprint and have remained unchanged since launch.

Full Legal Infrastructure from Day One

The website launched with a complete legal compliance suite including a Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and Cookie Policy. These documents were drafted, reviewed, and integrated into the site architecture during the same 48-hour window. The decision to ship legal infrastructure at launch — rather than adding it retroactively — reflects the company's position that compliance is a launch requirement, not a post-launch task.

Live Deal Pipeline

The site features an embedded live deal pipeline powered by the Napkin Deals FlowDiagram component, a 9-stage animated visualization that tracks deals from initial submission through final closing. The pipeline is not a static marketing graphic. It renders real operational data and updates as deals progress through qualification, matching, due diligence, and execution stages.

Mobile-First Architecture

Every page was tested at 375px viewport width during development. The responsive framework ensures that the deal pipeline, team directory, legal documents, and all interactive components render correctly on mobile devices. No component was designed for desktop and then adapted downward. The build process started at the smallest screen and scaled up.

The Gap Collapsed

“The gap between wanting something to exist and it existing has collapsed. That's the real product of this sprint — not a website, but proof that the gap is now measured in hours, not months.”

— Matthew Liberto, Founder & CEO, Napkin Deals

The 48-hour timeline was not the result of cutting corners or deferring features. The commit log shows a methodical progression: foundational layout, component architecture, content population, legal integration, pipeline embedding, responsive testing, and deployment. Each commit addressed a discrete, documented objective.

Implications for AI-Assisted Development

The website sprint demonstrates an operational model where AI tooling compresses development timelines without sacrificing scope. The full build — design, development, legal, content, and deployment — was executed by the founding team with AI assistance at every layer. The project is documented in the company's long-form insights, including Building an AI Sales Force and Humans Plus AI.
